The Aggies swept the top three spots in the 400m, led by Randolph Ross Jr.’s Big South record, Championship Meet record and facility record time of 44.61. In the men’s 110m Hurdles, A&T went 1-2, as Cory Poole was first at 13.71 seconds, followed by Aveon Reid at 13.76. The Aggies then won the 4x100m relay in a Championship Meet and Vert Stadium-record time of 38.74. North Carolina A&T’s ascension toward the top spot began when Brayden Hodgest won his second event of the week, this time winning the discus with a throw of 50.93m. High Point began the day first on the leaderboard, but its lead was overtaken by the Aggies late in the afternoon. ( ) – High Point ’s performance in the 5,000 meters and fourth-place finish in the 4x400m relay was just enough to win its second-straight Big South Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship title on Wednesday with a final total of 178 points - one point ahead of second-place North Carolina A&T (177).
